What is Sleep Apnea?
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) occurs when your muscles relax during sleep, allowing the soft tissue to collapse and block the airway. As a result, sleep apnea causes you to stop breathing up to hundreds of times a night for a few seconds to more than a minute. Snoring, excessive daytime sleepiness, memory problems, irritability, fatigue and insomnia are all signs that you could be losing shut-eye to sleep apnea. Undiagnosed or untreated OSA can be a potentially life-threatening condition. It can cause simultaneous health issues including, hypertension, heart arrhythmias, acid reflux (GERD), insulin-resistant diabetes, weight gain, impotence just to name a few. OSA can also cause mental health-related deficiencies such as depression or be a precursor to dementia. Snoring and OSA can also cause problems for bed partners as well!

TESTIMONIALS
What Our Customers Have to Say
First of all, a most humble "Thank You" to you and your staff for being very kind, considerate, helpful and patient as I went through the process of getting fitted for my oral appliance. I initially went to see you with some reservations and anxieties about getting this "oral device" to help me with the severe sleep apnea I had been suffering with for years. When you said that I was NOT going to miss using the CPAP machine and just love using the oral appliance, I had hope for the first time in years.
After just the first night of use I woke of feeling extremely well rested and very energetic( as well as every night since). My husband says I no longer snore, catch my breath nor become restless.
I am beyond happy with my new appliance.
Thank You Dr. Patterson, Deann and Staff
Sincerely,
Yvonne DeLeon
